Forth and Fourth

Fourth is an adjective describing numerical position.  A fourth is also a name for a quarter of something.

Forth is an adverb meaning onward in position or time.  To go forth is to head out into the world.

The word also appears in an idiom.  To "hold forth on" something is to speak about it at great length.
